Cultra, on the shore of Belfast Lough

Clanbrassil Road

Clanbrassil Road runs along the shore of Belfast Lough in Cultra, between Holywood and Helen's Bay. It is regularly reported as the most expensive residential street in Northern Ireland, with most of its houses either newly built or rebuilt within the last twenty years. Number 26 sits on the road itself with the lough visible through the trees.

Holywood

Holywood town centre is about 10 minutes on foot along the coastal path. The Sunday Times named Holywood the best place to live in Northern Ireland in 2021, placed it among the twelve coolest postcodes in the UK to move to in 2022, and ranked it second in Northern Ireland in 2024, describing it as Belfast's super-suburb with award-winning cafés and restaurants, woodland and coastal walks, and a strong community.

Getting around

Cultra halt is on the Belfast to Bangor railway line, with trains about 16 minutes from Cultra halt to Belfast Lanyon Place. By car, Belfast city centre and George Best Belfast City Airport are each about fifteen minutes away, and Belfast International Airport about forty minutes. The North Down Coastal Path passes the end of the road and runs from Holywood to Bangor.

Schools and leisure

Holywood has primary and secondary schools within walking distance, and Rockport School and Campbell College are a short drive away. Royal Belfast Golf Club, Holywood Golf Club and Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club are all within a few minutes. The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum is at Cultra itself.
